Balance fitness offer many classes to choose from including morning and evening, suiting early risers to night owls. Balance fitness runs Bootcamp Pilates, Pure Pilates, Kettlebell and Nordic Walking from two venues.
Weekend classes are held in the tranquil settings of Roath Park in the Terra Nova Cafe (opposite the lighthouse. Mon- Friday evening classes are held at Cafe Junior Fanny St, Cardiff CF24 4EH Cost - are £4 per class per person.
Balance Pilates Bootcamp- combines the high intensity exercises you would expect in bootcamps, with the toning and balancing moves of pilates. Each class you will discover how to exercise to maximum benefit from high intensity moves, finishing with relaxing stretching moves
Pure Pilates- Discover your core and create a well balanced body whilst relaxing and de-stressing. Cost - are £4 per class per person.
Nordic walking- Is a physical activity and a sport. The activity is performed with specially designed walking poles similar to ski poles. Compared to regular walking, Nordic walking involves applying force to the poles with each stride. Nordic walkers use more of their entire body (with greater intensity) and receive fitness building stimulation not present in normal walking for the chest, lats, triceps, biceps, shoulder, abdominals, spinal and other core muscles that may result in significant increases in heart rate at a given pace. Nordic walking can produce up to a 46% increase in energy consumption compared to walking without poles It also has been demonstrated to increase upper body muscle endurance by 38% in just twelve weeks.
